Amazing interview with ronnie james dio, the master himself ! It was filmed in 2006 at the dutch Arrow rock festival. At least that is what it said at toazted.com, the site where i got it from. It was free, they have lots of interviews you can watch for free there.

here in america, its all that rap and poser punk bands that everybody adores... the europeans apprieciate good heavy metal! i get sick of hearing the same pop and rap songs over and over again in public, in peoples cars when sitting in traffic, my sisters room.... i get tired of it, i like rap, but dont love it as much as metal..

Couldn't have said it better myself. Ronnie is absolutely right. He's an intelligent man and an awesome singer, composer and musician.
He knows what he's talking about. Unfortunately we're getting more of that so called American mentality here in Sweden as well. We've got to stand up and fight for the Heavy Metal music. "Metal Will Stand Tall"
Go Ronnie and all you heavy metal people out there. Music is art not industry and let's make it so.

The rest of your options are limited. You have Sammy Hagar but not David Lee Roth, also No mention of Lemmy, David Bowie,Axl Rose,or Patty Smith! Im American and I know what he means when he says that the states has become a place for trends. Its horrible that the majority of the people here cant think for themselves. I like a variety of music and I still listen to the music I did 10 years ago. kids these days listen to the radio to see whats big and what the newest sayings are not to even really listen to music. then when a sub culture jumps up they always jump on the bandwagon-SAD O and I gotta say Freddie Mercury out of those listed.
