i don't care about what the offspring actually wrote the song about, it can be used to represent death in general. one of the beauties of music is that it doesn't have one specific meaning, many people can interperate it any way they want.

the video works with the song perfectly, just like the song is about someones mom dieing, thats all well and good, but the video is of war, and people die in war, so that relates, nice video, great song, the nba used the fort minor 100 percent reason to remember the name song, when showing highlights of the playoffs, that song has nothing to do with basketball its about mike shinoda, so this song doesn't have to relate directly to the video, even though it does anyways

Yea man your right on. The greatest thing about any song is that it can impact you in a different way from how it would impact your friend. Its easy to relate to this song especially becouse nearly everyone has lost someone close to them. This video works great with this song. Forget what those one track minds say.

you're a bit late, this exact discussion took place about one month ago where someone said: wtf the song has nothing to do with war! its about the singers mother! and i replied back saying: i don't care about what the offspring actually wrote the song about, it can be used to represent death in general. one of the beauties of music is that it doesn't have one specific meaning, many people can interperate it any way they want. then this someone didn't reply back because they just got owned.

Band of Brothers. It was an HBO mini-series with 10 episodes and I HIGHLY recommend watching it. One of the best war films ever made.

It's a TV series that played on HBO it's called Band of Brothers, it's a great fucking series, and if you haven't watched well you should, it is very accurate about the 101st airbourne divisions back in WW2
