Ron Paul and Net Neutrality
He opposes network neutrality.Network neutrality means that all traffic on a public network such as the internet is treated equally, without special preference, discrimination or other deliberate interference by service providers. This principle ensures equal access to all resources on the internet, e.g. ISPs can't degrade the performance of one website while giving priority to another. The Markey amendment (PDF) to the COPE Act of 2006 would have enforced network neutrality by prohibiting ISPs from handling internet traffic in a discriminatory manner. The Markey amendment did not pass; Ron Paul voted against it, and his campaign site states that "He voted against regulating the Internet". While government regulation of the internet should rightly be viewed with the utmost skepticism, service providers have frequently demonstrated their inability to maintain the open architecture and level playing field integral to the success of the internet.
"A DAY IN THE LIFE OF JOE REPUBLICAN" Joe gets up at 6 a.m. and fills his coffeepot with water to prepare his morning coffee. The water is clean and good because some tree-hugging liberal fought for minimum water-quality standards. With his first swallow of water, he takes his daily medication. Hi
s medications are safe to take because some stupid commie liberal fought to ensure their safety and that they work as advertised. All but $10 of his medications are paid for by his employer's medical plan because some liberal union workers fought their employers for paid medical insurance - now Joe
gets it too. He prepares his morning breakfast, bacon and eggs. Joe's bacon is safe to eat because some girly-man liberal fought for laws to regulate the meat packing industry. In the morning shower, Joe reaches for his shampoo. His bottle is properly labeled with each ingredient and its amount in t
he total contents because some crybaby liberal fought for his right to know what he was putting on his body and how much it contained. Joe dresses, walks outside and takes a deep breath. The air he breathes is clean because some environmentalist wacko liberal fought for the laws to stop industries f
rom polluting our air. He walks on the government-provided sidewalk to subway station for his government-subsidized ride to work. It saves him considerable money in parking and transportation fees because some fancy-pants liberal fought for affordable public transportation, which gives everyone the
opportunity to be a contributor. Joe begins his work day. He has a good job with excellent pay, medical benefits, retirement, paid holidays and vacation because some lazy liberal union members fought and died for these working standards. Joe's employer pays these standards because Joe's employer do
esn't want his employees to call the union. If Joe is hurt on the job or becomes unemployed, he'll get a worker compensation or unemployment check because some stupid liberal didn't think he should lose his home because of his temporary misfortune. It is noontime and Joe needs to make a bank deposit
so he can pay some bills. Joe's deposit is federally insured by the FSLIC because some godless liberal wanted to protect Joe's money from unscrupulous bankers who ruined the banking system before the Great Depression. Joe has to pay his Fannie Mae-underwritten mortgage and his below-market federal
student loan because some elitist liberal decided that Joe and the government would be better off if he was educated and earned more money over his lifetime. Joe also forgets that his in addition to his federally subsidized student loans, he attended a state funded university. Joe is home from work.
He plans to visit his father this evening at his farm home in the country. He gets in his car for the drive. His car is among the safest in the world because some America-hating liberal fought for car safety standards to go along with the tax-payer funded roads. He arrives at his boyhood home. His
was the third generation to live in the house financed by Farmers' Home Administration because bankers didn't want to make rural loans. The house didn't have electricity until some big-government liberal stuck his nose where it didn't belong and demanded rural electrification. He is happy to see his
father, who is now retired. His father lives on Social Security and a union pension because some wine-drinking, cheese-eating liberal made sure he could take care of himself so Joe wouldn't have to. Joe gets back in his car for the ride home, and turns on a radio talk show. The radio host keeps sa
ying that liberals are bad and conservatives are good. He doesn't mention that the beloved Republicans have fought against every protection and benefit Joe enjoys throughout his day. Joe agrees: "We don't need those big-government liberals ruining our lives! After all, I'm a self-made man who belie
ves everyone should take care of themselves, just like I have."

You make his stance ... ( 3 weeks ago by y0oho0)
You make his stance sound so horrible, but you k now nothing of the ideology behind it. THe government doesn't have the right to run your life. If you want to be taken care of from cradle to grave, vote Obama. If you want freedom and sound economic policy, you'll vote for Ron Paul. Only fools won't be able to see through this dumb video. 1 star.
You're an idiot. ... ( 3 weeks ago by DecentralizedTommy)
You're an idiot. Selling out american industry to China, having open borders, for the free trade lie, is hardly "sound economics" You're not living indigenously, so dont be so quick to bite the hand that feeds you, provides clean water, and fights for clean air to breath, now.
Worshipping a politicians is NOT the answer, Obama will not give you change, and neither will ron paul, or any other politician.
We have to take this country back ourselves, get with the program, enact the Ni4D
Ron Paul has moved ... ( 3 weeks ago by kangalanatolian)
Ron Paul has moved from the libertarian position of open borders, which is based on the idea that EVERYONE should have rights (given by God) He recognized the fact that this is not possible given the overpopulation of our neighbors, and the tempting socialism here.
The lower 50 ... ( 3 weeks ago by kangalanatolian)
The lower 50 percent pay NO taxes. How do you cut that?
That is not true. ... ( 3 weeks ago by DecentralizedTommy)
That is not true.
He said this t one of his rallies, not long ago:
"Once we have a strong economy, we'll want open borders, because we'll need those workers" -Ron Paul sorry you fell for lies on a campaign trail. you must stop worshipping politicians emediantly, no politician is going to save you. Stop your idol worship now. Power to the people, a way to have t

who said anything about the lower class?????
NO ONE
No one's worshiping ... ( 3 weeks ago by y0oho0)
No one's worshiping politicians here. Those are OBama supporters. We agree with Paul's message. Your whole video is based on what Bush SAID he would do, and not what he actually did, in which you'd like your viewers to think. Asshole. The whole idea behind it is free markets. What he's saying is the market will demand more workers once our economy is strong enough, and what is the only logical answer? Outsource or citizens? It's the way of the economy dumbass.
You're ignoring the ... ( 3 weeks ago by DecentralizedTommy)
You're ignoring the powerful corporations we have now, you want open free markets- think NAFTA on steroids, think outsourcing even more jobs, because you want americans to compete for wages with China's slave labor, and other countries with poor working conditions, and lower pay. We cant compete with china, nor should we ever have to. Television tells you to be like the Jones, you buy foreign made products, and wonder where the jobs went and the economy is poor. 2 words: fair trade
The only reason I ... ( 3 weeks ago by JackalsNose)
The only reason I watched this whole video was the good song. Most of your statements made me like Ron Paul even more. A man who stands for decentralized government is my friend and the states friend. Also a friend of the constitution.
Yes, I get it. You ... ( 3 weeks ago by DecentralizedTommy)
Yes, I get it. You have a real problem with idol worshipping a politician, to the point that you cannot allow your self to disagree with him, so you flip flop issues. I will prove this right now. Of course you are not for open borders, why that would be unconstitutional for america to have open borders with mexico and canada, in fact you preach against NAFTA/CFTA/TTC.
However, like most ronbots, you have no idol what libertarian ron paul's long term goal is....
As long as his long ... ( 3 weeks ago by JackalsNose)
As long as his long term goal reflects laissez-faire capitalism and liberty, I am content. He has continuously showed his capitalist colors through his dislike of the fed and fiat currency. Non-interventionism in other countries is also a plus.

"Once we have a strong economy, we'll want open borders, because we'll need those workers" -Ron Paul
Now flip flop your position, or lie to me and say you've always felt that, or now that ron paul has made it clear for you, you want open borders to, and understand why, like ron paul does. get lost you anti-american chump! send all your money to 6the campaign for stupidity, let them tell you who
to vote for, since you cant think for yourself, and worship ron paul, how pathetic and sad.

capitalism is the problem, corprotism rules this country. go back to sleep idol worshiper.
I told you I will, ... ( 3 weeks ago by DecentralizedTommy)
I told you I will, prove you will change position, when you learn the politician you worship disagrees with you. so now you are for open borders, when before you were against them.
You;re a real bonafide LOSER IDOL WORSHIPER
it's disgusting

did you actually listen to the speech and if you did, did you understand it?
it is difficult to understand something when you put forth no more effort than a google search...
what are you having ... ( 2 weeks ago by DecentralizedTommy)
what are you having a problem understanding?
ron paul running on a known bush lie of humble foreign policy- how dumb it was for him to keep saying he is a bush anything.
when in fact- truth be told- he is just like bush. You'd know this if you done your homework.
"We cant tell the arabs to get lost, they have a lot of oil, and we have to protect our oil, without offending Israel" -Ron Paul
"Iran's neighbors should hire blackwater associates" -Ron Paul

"Once we have a strong economy, we'll want open borders, because we'll need those workers" -Ron Paul
You have to stop worshipping politicians.
Ron Paul and the campaign for stupidity, is not going to save you. You ronbots are just as bad as obama worshippers, only you guys are a much smaller group going nowhere. Stop drooling over politicians that use tool words to get your money on a campaign trail.
START pushing for ... ( 2 weeks ago by DecentralizedTommy)
START pushing for real solutions- enact the Ni4D and lets take the country back, for real- ourselves. wake the hell up boy!
all you have done ... ( 2 weeks ago by mccallbs1)
all you have done is search for a few quotes and have removed them from context and used them as the cornerstone for an arguement (0 substance). you have no real research or any real critical thought concerning the matter. you are just as guilty of those whom you blame for using cheap and meaningless rhetoric. the problem is that you have been blinded to any form of actuality by the fantasy that i's sure you think is very much reality. perhaps it is you, my friend, who needs to wake up.
The fact is Ron ... ( 2 weeks ago by DecentralizedTommy)
The fact is Ron Paul's long term goal is to have open borders. This is exactly the opposite of what his cult following thinks. But once ron paul explains why we would want open borders once the economy is fix, then the ron paul worshippers change their position, because they cannot allow themselves to disagree with their leader.
You live in a flip flop fantasy world, because ron paul is no different then the rest of the politicians, and has no solution to anything.
I tell you a ... ( 2 weeks ago by DecentralizedTommy)
I tell you a solution, and you ignore it, why? because your leader is not behind the Ni4D. so you dont know about it, and will go against it, unless your leader ron paul gets behind it. You are the sheep. You are the fool. You blindly worship and follow a fucking politicians, you ARE the problem.
why would having no ... ( 1 week ago by tghooker)

That law effected people making less than 30 thousand a yr. that were primarily victims of predatory lending. It did not effect corporations, wallstreet, CEO, etc The real people that are abusing the system.

what i don't understand is why he won't sign to impeach bush when it's already proven that the bush administration took this nation to war on lie, resulting in the deaths of many innocent people.
don't trust anyone but yourself.
