http://live.pirillo.com - I've been using the dual 30" monitors with my Vista machine, hooked up with Dual Link DVI cables. Someone in chat suggested I use one of them for the MacBook Pro. With these new MBP's, it's quite easy. Just plug in one of the DVI cables, and off you go... or so I thought.

Oh, wait I can't because I don't currently have a dual monitor setup. But you cant move the taskbar on windows to the 2nd monitor, by unlockingthe taskbar and, then click and drag the taskbar from the main monitor to the dual monitor.

Thank you!!! Yes I was about to say that we should not start to fight about this. Also I was just saying that you could move the windows taskbar that's all. Also I have a mac mini now so I agree that it's easier on mac than windows.

here's a challenge for ya, I have an iBook G4 14" (1024x768res) and i also have a 19" phillips monitor which i think is a bit higher in resolution like 1298x.... I have a VGA adapter that came with the ibook, it basically enables you to project whats on your ibook to the projector or another monitor, so in other words what you see on the ibook is what you see projected on another screen. so far i've conneccted the ibook to the monitor, it reognizes it but...

the thing is when the monitor and ibook are connected the 2 dialog boxes comes up and each one with its own screen resolution, but it doesn't have the button "arrangements" or anything like that, all it has is "Gather windows" which i've pressed but it doesn't do anything, both screen still displaying the exact same thing and not one long screen. My external monitor only has a VGA port no dual link port. Is it possible to have a dual screen with these equipment?

It's a hack. iBooks were not designed for screen spanning. So use it at your own risk. I've never head of anyone having a problem with it, but that doesn't mean it couldn't happen.

geez...your not making it any reassuring are you? :D I might try later after i read about it a bit more. So do you still just plug the VGA adapter as per usual like normal? like do you still just plug your ibook to the external monitor as i did before?

Thanks for nothing, obviously "lockergnome" here doesn't know anything about iBook G4's so if anybody have an iBook dont' bother asking this person for answers.
