All I could really remember about this was the stranded gasping fish. Distressed me as a little child. 40+ years later I hire the DVD, and sure enough there's the fish left stranded and gasping. Then it rains alot and the water comes back. But you never see the fish again. What happened to it? I need closure...

I remember this in black and white and subtitled too - I hadn't found anyone else who remembered it, and wondered if I had dreamt (or nightmared) it! This had a really profound effect on me - mental health issues revisited!!

Yeah, just like everybody else I remember this being frightening and upsetting,especially the fish .Ive seen it for sale in hmv or someplace recently. It was originaly made in technicolour then broadcast in black and white.A chum at work remembers it also,she was scaared also.Remember that dwarf and the big circle of flame?

God I remember watching this in about 1967. It touched me just as it seems to have touched everybody else at the time, judging by the comments left. It seemed to have strange qualities, very frightening but something you judged had to watch.I loved the foreign voices and lack of dubbing. The narrator just talked over the speech. I too was frightened by the dwarf and upset by the stranded fish.

Does anybody remember this other narrated story?About a man who goes on a mission to bring a golden haired woman for his king.He has 2 potions to help him one of light and one of darkness.He uses these to rescue a fly ,from a spiders web,who then goes on to help him.He ends up dying but is brought back to life with the potion of light in the end.The king finds the potions and attempts to inject life into his castle but uses the wrong potion and end up dying.Can't remember what it was called.
