Today, we've got Newsarama Sneak Reviews of The Last Defenders #1, Sisterhood #1 and Justice League of America #19.
The Last Defenders is a new Defenders series, with some of old characters in the New Jersey initiative team. Sisterhood #1 was passed along to us by our friend Tom Sniegoski. It's a great read and we recommend picking it up. We're not as positive about JLA #19, but Pete likes the artwork. The in
the Speed Round we review X-Force #2, Zombies Vs. Robots Vs. Amazons #3, Echo #1, Justice League: The New Frontier Special #1, and Buffy the Vampire Slayer #12. Rory in our viewer asks us who our favorite comic book writer is AND what is the worst book of theirs that we have read?

I agree about Byrne's first year of Alpha Flight. Such a different way to introduce a team. Kinda petered out waaaaaaaaaaaaaay before it ended tho. I waited for you guys to talk about Penance 5, and you didn't. I feel like with all the teasing Pete had to endure, you decided to spread the torment. Love the idea of 3 shows a week! Imperius Rex!

Justin is totally right..Comic Book Villains was a horrible movie and i can't believe James Robinson wrote and directed that piece of crap. You'd think that a comic book writer would know how to write how Nerds think. No, he just cast D.J. Qualls to generalize his entire audience.

It is so weird watching reviews online of comics because so many people are interested and critical of things I don't even give a second thought to anymore. Writing is important, but comics today in my opinion are written so poorly (for the most part) I've stopped reading them. I find I only buy comics now for the art. Like the new ultimates 3. Joe Mad has been doing amazing, ut the writing is so bad it pains me to not tear the book into little pieces. We need a comic art review show too. =]

okay, here is the first question: what is your attitude towards the religious issues in comic books? from mcfarlane's spawn to constantine, battle pope to invisibles - which one do you like and/or hate? question 2: which is the best drawn brawl/fighter you have seen? being into martial arts, I really recommend frank miller's work -daredevil, wolverine, sin city, batman. he really knows how to draw a fight. my favourite is Richard Corben, and the worst thing he did is NOT MAKING MORE STUFF!!!

I enjoy your show and the reviews. I just wish that you would let a little defense on the JLA 19 part of the show. I like to hear the actual thoughts and ideas more then lots of jokes.

Morrisons Planet X arc would have made sense, if Bendis, Qusada, and Clairmont hadn't screwed Morrison over by saying it wasn't Magneto that tore NYC apart and got killed Jean.
What really pisses me off is that after they hire Morrison to revamp Xmen in 2001, and he does the job, they completely reverse and erase everything he created!

If you're talkn' about Amazing Spider-Man, Shinobi, well, its a matter of opinion.
If you haven't been keeping up with Spidey, they basically brought him back to square-#1. They made him a twenty-something guy, unmarried,or divorced (we dont know what happened to M.J.), living with his Aunt and having terrible luck in life cause he's stuck being SpiderMan.
I guess the old school fans are wetting themselves over this, but the younger fans like me hate it cause its the same stuff from years back
