Born into an artistic family, his father a director and actor, his mother an opera singer and writer, Daniel was involved in theater and the visual arts from a very young age. A passion for Cinema and Theater motivated Daniel to pursue professional acting and filmmaking at age 15. His screen direc
ting credits include Method Monster which premiered at the Gotham City Short Film Festival, an adaptation of John Patrick Shanley's Welcome to the Moon and number of other short films and commercials, all of which have also screened publicly in New York, on Cable TV and the web. He has directed stag
e productions in New York for the Strawberry Festival and the Samual French One Act Play Festival and co-produces the cable TV series Simon Studio Presents.
As a Director of Photography Daniel worked on Downtown or Higher (dir. Georgiana Nestor) which premiered at the Sun Valley Film Festival in Fa
ll 2006. Last year The Samuel French One Act Festival accepted his play Genesis Cage Entertainment which he later adapted to the screen under the title Late Night Entertainment. The film is currently in post-production. Daniel is also a lifetime member of The Actors Studio Playwright/Directors Unit
and The Simon Studio.
As an actor he recently appeared at Carnegie Hall reading seleted poems for Pianist Soheil Nasseri. Other recent stage performances include The Young Boxer in The Palooka, part of Tennessee Williams' Pieces of Paradise down at 13th Street Rep, directed by Stephan Morrow, play
ing Joseph Merrick ('The Elephant Man') in Elephant Dreams at Dixon Place, and in The New York International Fringe Festival as the World Chess Champion Mikhail Tal in the award winning play The French Defense directed by Aleksey Burago. Other New York theater credits include Hamlet in Bard @the Bar
