All schools or facilities around the US should have maximum security having at least 10 or more "Armed" securities patrolling around depending on the size of the area and having Sentries at all gates checking for any weapons before anyone could enter and these tragedies can be prevent I know this is a hindrance for a daily normal life there's not much of a choice. America is too free a society and almost everyone around the country possess a weapon for defence but some have different intentions.

I totally agree. When I was going to college, I had a CCW, but was restricted from carrying my firearm on campus. That could really make the difference in this situation.

United States is a large country especially those living in rural areas or maybe suburban areas need a weapon for defense if emergency arises. They can have license of a gun provided they went for regular Mental checkups and observe for any mental disorders and they must report the number of ammos they used during Emergency cases and of course the use of weapons for self-defense or deliberate murder will be judged too.
