Take a trip into Synchronicity with this Fractal video set to the music of The Police. This video is a tribute to Dr. Carl Jung whose theory of Synchronicity ties in quite well with recent Chaos Theory.

My son who is 18 ... ( 1 month ago by Unloaded47)
My son who is 18 today, spent some time in the hospital over this, it gave him answers to the whole God/universe question, he is a smart young man who makes a lot of sense. But his way of thinking is not for the "normal Population" to deal with. I wonder how many other people have been diagnosed with psychosis over this.... hmmm.

I've pondered over fractal geometry a lot. I believe its a visual representation of how the universe works. Everything in nature contains this sort of "chaotic" geometry down to our own brains. Nothing drives towards a certain limitation then stops. Everything continues moving forward, reaching to infinity as a part of infinity. As humans, we have trouble seeing it because we have survival instincts that keep us thinking "in the box", such as dividing infinity into sec/min/hr based on sun/moon.

Fractals are key to understanding things about the universe. As humans on Earth it is difficult to understand because ignoring infinity is a survival trait, because we must divide night/day, birth/death by minutes, hours, days. Yet fractals occur in everything in nature because everything reaches towards infinity. As long as another force isnt put upon it, why wouldnt it? I believe the "normal Population" should be taught infinite traits in nature, but understand we have physical restraints here
Smart kid. Read ... ( 1 month ago by 14grig6perl41)
Smart kid. Read this and tell me if I should be institutionalized: "I thought about it for a while, and I concluded that the human body is topologically equivalent to the connected sum of five tori: a five-hole doughnut. There are five holes in the head that connect to the esophagus. The lungs make one simply-connected dead end, so they don't count. The urinary and reproductive tracts are also dead ends. The holes in the head connect to the esophagus and the rest of the digestive tract."
How fractals arise ... ( 1 month ago by JASONQUANTUM1)
How fractals arise in nature has just been discovered. The same guy also discovered how to hand draw a fractal of anything. If you go to fantastic fractals and click on "How to make a fractal", it shows how you can draw a fractal of anything.

This is nothing compared to what you'd see if it were possible to go into just one cell, deeper and deeper, into the all the amino acids and all the DNA structures, and the molecules and the atoms and the sub atomic particles and ultimately just waves with no substance, and then.............?

Not my favorite Police song...Jung's concept is very intruiging to me and I've been looking in to it as of late. Sting seemed to be very in to this general concept througout all of his work. Some is more obvious.
so are we seeing ... ( 2 weeks ago by Poonard)
so are we seeing mandlebrot's equation when under hallucinogenes? this is a serious question, laugh if you will, i had a few trips that remind me of this...i know it has to do with a common vibration that all of everything in the universe shares....it would make sense that part of your mind actually can see this happening...and associate certain variations of this image with certain emotions...anyone know more specific details?
There is no ... ( 1 week ago by TheDevilsAdvocate55)
There is no rational cosmology, all wholes are made of smaller parts which are wholes in themselves which are also made of smaller parts- there is no end.
