Even if we're at war, and you kill someone over a territory, then on our judgement day how are you gonna explain how you killed what could possibly be your brother in Christ over a piece of dirt?
1John 2:15-17 tells us to not love worldly things, so if we kill someone over land or riches then what have we done? I encourage everyone to read these verses and let me know what you think.

I think you right to a point. God tells Pilot on the way to the cross that he has no power over him except that witch was given to him by God. Deuteronomy 1:13 Take you wise men, and understanding, and known among your tribes, and I will make them rulers over you.

In the end profitcy came true and Israel became a nation again. A prediction that was made 2000 years ago. Even now proficty is coming true. Wars and rumors of wars people claming peace but there is no peace. Granted the Bible says thou shall not kill so it can be a double edge sword. In the end you need to pray and ask God what you should do.

You said you are talking about Iraq, but what is the reason we are there? It isn't for self defense, they weren't a threat to us even though some people tried to convince us they were. As bad as Hussein was, he said repeatedly he didn't have WMDs, there was no viable proof, so why are we there?
Why aren't we trying as hard to stop all the drug trafficing in the USA? We have officers getting killed every day and noone seems to notice and the politicians don't seem to care.

And I agree, a lot of the politicians are only in on this stuff for the money. And that's wrong. I don't like how America has been handling some things, but I still am true to my country, and I'm a patriot. And I trust that no matter what, God's gonna take care of me! So the whole political thing doesn't really matter that much, in that sense.

9/11 was orchastrated by Osama bin Laden, not Saddam Hussein. Hussein hated bin Laden so much he wouldn't let him or the al-qaeda in Iraq. He was the only thing that kept the al-qaeda at bay over there, and when we removed Hussein from power we opened the door for the al-qaeda to take over in Iraq.
I agree that bin Laden needs to be brought to justice for what he did on 9/11, that's where our efforts should have been all along.
If everyone does God's Will, He will take care of us all.

I think you misunderstood me. Iraq had nothing to do with 9/11. That was al-qaeda and bin Laden. Hussein hated bin Laden. The only reason al-qaeda is in Iraq now is because we removed Hussein from power.
Jesus warns about false profits and those that claim to be doing God's Will. Jesus also tells us that we will know God's people by their works. Jesus tells us to turn the other cheek if someone does you wrong. How can you say it is right to kill if Jesus tells us to love even our enemies.

There have been many wars fought in Christ's name even though he taught against retaliation (Matt. 5:38-42), and for Love (Matt. 5:43-48).
The only problem is that people are so afraid to give up their worldly possesions that they choose to not listen to Jesus.
Think about it, the devil's main goal is to get people to turn from God, so by retaliation and killing others, whose will is being done?
Jesus says not everyone who calls his name will go to Heaven, but those that do God's Will.

hm...my parents can put me under stress too. well, keep on praying! and while you ask for God's help, you still have to honor your parents. this can be very hard because it seems like while you are askign God for something, you are doign something against him! but you're not. honoring your parents is part of the 10 commandments

This is Paul telling Timothy to take the knowledge of the Lord with the prophecies fortold, and stand firm in his Faith. He is not saying to start a war. In essence it is the same as telling someone to fight a good fight for something they truly believe.

I can understand what you are saying, but this war was never about our freedom, Iraq did not attack us, so how is it right. Al-qaeda attacked us, and they weren't in Iraq until we went there.
All I'm saying is we all have to real careful with the things we do in life and not just think it's right because it seems right. If it goes against God's Word, then no matter how it feels to us, it's still wrong.

Iraq did not plan 9/11, that was Osama bin Laden and al-qaeda, not Saddam Hussein. Even the Bush administration has finally admitted that. They claim now that the reason we're over there was to free Iraq from Hussein's rule. But, even George Bush sr. wrote in his book that the reason he didn't remove Hussein in desert storm was because it would have created chaos over there, and there was no viable way out of Iraq once we were in there.
You need to study up on this war.
