A very nimble and light fighter. -Most nimble than Zero fighter but equal or more fragil. -Lightly armed, no armor plate neither self sealing gas tanks.

Watch these fast snap rolls, climb and tight turns, fast roll rate...amazing for a fighter monoplane from that era. -I think that plane was a floater and fun to fly, but some inestable to high speed, and of course, very vulnerable to fifty cal ammo from american fighters.

There was an original Oscar in NZ that "taxied" at Wanaka - original down to the patched bullet holes - if you count taxying as being 3m in the air! This plane has since been sold - in the USA? The new build ones in Texas are not finished yet.

Fasntastic roll rate and incredibly agile at low speeds. The problem is that once they worked out tactics, the bigger/faster/more heavily armed P47's, Spitfires, P40's and Hurricanes would not stay around to dogfight them, they would use their better speed and firepower in fast slashing attacks.
This made the 'super manouverability' of the Oscar much less usefull.
Incredible manouvres, but not so useful without high speed to go with it.
