I have always been confused by the larger f-stop number meaning a smaller apeture, but your explaination of a larger f-stop means a larger depth of field is helpful. Thanks.

personaly I have never liked the way photographers blur the background to make the subject stand out more. Looks too unatural and kind of makes me feel dizzy looking at it!
