A song can have only 2 chords and still be good; it matters what is made of those two chords. And citing Beethoven and Bach as influences does not make your music good. Well, I think people who blindly tout the Beatles as the "best rock band ever" are idiots; the Beatles never made any real contribution to the genre. Very few rock bands worth their salt today or even back in the '60's sound anything like the Beatles. They were just a fad for preteen girls to swoon over- grow up and pull your head out of your ass, for God's sake.

The Rolling Stones have written and recorded some of the greatest songs in American history. The Beatles are better in my opinion, but only slightly. Also, if you want to give Lennon the edge from a lyrics standpoint, maybe Stones fans could bring up, hmmm, I dunno, I am the Walrus, Come Together, Revolution #9. Songs with lyrics that seem like a 5 year old on crack through together.

The Beatles sound better to me, alot better. Ringo's matter-of-fact singing of verse A,,, leading to the chorus where Paul takes the high part and John's wonderful voice can be heard as well. Much more fun, much more personality.

theyr both really good but what i like about the beatles is that there is a good difference in pitches when they sing cuz they can start at an average note and jump to i high one like in the begginingin the beatles' you hear i wanna be your MAN it goes higher on MAN on the rolling stones version it stays almost the same pitch
