The prophecy said that the chosen one would bring blanace to the force. Anakin did do that. Two Sith and two Jedi were left. That is balance.

what do u mean anakin is not the chosen one he's the one who killed the emperor in the end it was said that he would bring a balance to he force he fought the sith and then the jedi thus balancing them

look beyond the movies, read some of the books that take place after ROTJ and you'll see what i mean. yes, Anakin killed the Emperor, but he was not DESTROYED until his failed atempt to poses Anakin Solo. the prophecy says, the Chosen One will DESTROY the Sith not just kill them.

Actually, the prophecy did come true, in the sense, that darth vader, who turned to the light side by his son, killed Emperor in the end, there for, killed the last of the sith lord and fulfilled the prophecy.

Sidious/Emperor Palpatine was the last TRUE Sith Lord. All of the others in the books learned from Holocrons or something cheap like that. Anakin was the Chosen One and fulfilled the Prophecy at the end of ROTJ. The Sith you see in the EU books are there only so that the plots stay fresh and exciting, not because they correspond with the Movie Canon.

He brought balance by Killing Sidious/Palpatine and redeeming himself at the last minute. By redeeming himself, he effectively "Killed" Vader, thereby destroying the Sith.
