The moving diary of Angelina Jolie and Dr Jeffrey Sachs while visiting some projects in Africa that make a real difference in combatting poverty. Their visits illustrate not only the necessity but also the feasability of the UN's Millennium Development Goals, agreed on by all the member states in 2000.
As the forum where the voice of all nations -- great and small -- can be raised and heard the UN (minus the Security Council) is the hope for the world and must be the agency through which all major international problems will be resolved.

awareness is the road to start doing something...you don't have to go acroos the world to realize there are certain things to be done. i don't think the fact that she is a celebrity has anything to do with this she is a human like the rest of us...we all have needs...we all need education, food, medicine...it's amazing that she's doing something, that she cares, that's what matters.

I understand they just want to help out, but this is just phony shit and angelina isn't doing shit and cant do anything for world poverty without confronting the root causes of poverty which is frankly wealth, wealth like the decadent wealth of "angie" herself. jeffry sachs runs around as an apologist for capitalism. the entire presentation makes me feel queasy. you get the sense of superiority and condescension from the two.

The UN is the hope for the future of this world. Conspiracy theories are the result of fear, which has wreaked enough havoc already. If only the UN would get the chance to really represent the nations of the world, without its agenda being hijacked by the US, many of our problems would have been solved 20 odd years ago.

Like I said, read the UN's own documents. That organization was hijacked years ago. Just read David Rockafeller's memoirs! It's not a conspiracy theory, these people have spelled out their Eugenics agenda quite clearly. But hey, I get a sincere vibe from you and we can all contribute to solving poverty.

I don't know that qvqvqv23 is a conspiracy theorist, but every organization has its weaknesses - the UN is no exception. However, the UN is generally a force for good in the world, and Jeffrey Sachs knows how to tackle poverty.
