-hosted by Natalie Cole and Quincy Jones, included Ella-inspired performances by Stevie Wonder, Patti Austin, Nancy Wilson, American Idol Ruben Studdard, Jon Faddis, and more. One of the longest-running performing arts anthologies on television, the award-winning GREAT PERFORMANCES series presents
the best in music, dance and theater. The series is a production of Thirteen/WNET New York and funded by the Corporation for Public Broadcasting, the National Endowment for the Arts, public television viewers, and PBS. Major corporate funding is provided by UBS.

Ledisi is off the chain. She can sing for me any day of the week, along with a few others. She is very sweet. Went to see her in NY, and was part of a greet and meet group, but five if us had to get back home to Philly while she was caught up back stage. Do you know, she felt bad that we had to leave and sent us posters and t-shirts. I love her. Check her out live if she is ever nearby.

Although I love Jill, Ledesi's range is more controlled and she has real intonation. Patti Austin is crazy...anytime you can actually catch a hold of an Ella scat that precisely...you're good! I've always liked Take 6

Sweet sassy molassy. Saw her live at the JC she attended (in Hayward, CA). It was all jazz tunes and knows how to put on a damn good show. Normally I don't like scat, but she really shows how her voice is an instrument just like the ones played by the big band. I had shivers and chills for WEEKS!! Hooray for raw, uninhibited talent!!
