The Canadian Military is fine, we do need some upgrades to vehicles and equipment, but I agree with piddflicks that our soldier are amongst the best in the world.Americans tend to disregard population when considering Canada, we only have 35 million people compared to your 305 mill, which means we don't have the same means. Our military is perfectly suited for it purposes and with a lower military budget we can afford to have things like universal health care something your country needs.

ya, there isn't a lot of people who truly care, Canada has huge immigrant population who don't have a connection to the Queen and Quebecois not sharing the lineage don't care. The exploits of the Monarchy are on tv, but it tends to be older English population who care. I'm proud of Canada's past and connection to Britain myself.

I would like to see a re-unification of the United Kingdom, Dominion of Canada, Commonwealth of Australia and Realm of New Zealand in a sort of Imperial Federation called the United States of Greater Britain. A United States of Greater Britain could pose an economic and military challenge to the United States and European Union. We British, Canadians, Australians and New Zealanders should stick together and together we will rule the world.

Perhaps, if you can this year, attend the Remembrance Service at the Citadel or Cenotaph where you live on November 11th and you will hear veterans and citizens singing both anthems...even in French...and you can join them! This has been done every year since the First World War!
