(The songs in the medley are: "Country Gentleman", "Mr. Sandman", "Wildwood Flower" and "Freight Train"). It aired on April 29th, 1970.

That's not the way it happened. Lenny learned harmonics by listening to Chet's recordings, & actually became better at them than Chet. And as a young boy, he, Lenny, copied Chet's AND others' styles. He was a child prodigy. His dad & mom were entertainers. His dad performed under the name of Lone Pine. On the other hand, Chet admired Django Rhinehardt, Les Paul, Merle Travis & George Barnes (among others.) Chet mixed & refined the sounds to come up with his own style. NO guitarist is better!

Tommy owes a lot to Chet, as do thousands, or maybe tens of thousands of guitarists or would be guitarists. And don't sell 6 or more hours of practice a day short. The practice is the key, if you have the tenacity & the talent!

Actually, i took lessons from Lenny's brother in Lewiston, Maine about 100 years ago. His name is Denny, not a bad musician himself. he told me that not only did he teach Chet, but Andy Summers of the police
