No-one said the Panda was fast, it's just great round the bends and quick round city centres where large cars typically suck.
There are plenty of small cars which would destroy big powerful cars round any track and in many cases in a straight line too, power-to-weight ratio matters a lot. ;p

:) That was a sarcastic point about the 120bhp... The inefficiency point meaning U.S. cars manage to somehow squeeze half the power per litre from an engine than the Europeans or Japanese.
We have plenty of "Micro" cars that could hardly be called slow - most decent hot hatches are good for 0-60 in 7 seconds or less and 140-150mph nowadays but will go round corners properly too.
I like old American muscle cars but could never have one in UK as they don't turn corners or stop properly :(

I love european cars, my first car was a 95 saab 900. It cornered extremely well, one day I pushed it too far and without warning I had zero grip and ran it off the road. The A rod was bent 90 degrees. I learned from my mistake, but I still love G-forces pulling on my body.

Aye, front wheel drive is mostly safe but can be a bitch when you overdo it! Turbo Saabs have awesome midrange grunt but throw in a ton of understeer to go with it :(

It was naturally asperated, but still had good power. I knew it could understeer being FWD, so I knew not to keep my foot on the gas when cornering hard. It did fantastic most of the time. It was a hot day, I think that may be what caused it, because I had taken the same corner harder before with no problems.
