Again, I've only included the first verse of each song.

It was sung by Teruko Akatsuki. But Hibari dressed up as one in the movie "Tokyo Kid".

thank you so much for this. her high tone and her control over it, when young, was superb. i wonder why she specialised in ENKA as she got older? probably it was the most poplar area at the time. i love her singing when she was young. in particular i remember watching her in a film she stared in when she was a child, as she was seeing off an american girl going back by plane, she was singing ave maria. it was purely stunning. while the world had maria callas, there was hibari in japan.

Well, she didn't only specialize in enka, but all kinds of music, like jazz, or even opera. And personally, I think they're great, just like her enka.
Oh, and I know what film you're talking about. The English title for it is 'Girls Hand in Hand' Which starred young Margaret O'Brien as the American Girl.
