During World War II, GIs in the field built really amazing simple radios to listen too. These were made with materials that they could get their hands on and were small enough to carry around in a big pocket. You can modify this design if you want to set it up so that it's tuneable too! Yeah I made one when I was a kid, used a crystal diode from a junked radio and hooked it up to my radiator. Worked well and requires NO power

Great video I made one similar to this and i added an aluminum sattelite and every time i put my hand near the satellite it beeped and it picked up a cell phone signal
