OK... This is out of left field. I just noticed that you used the CORRECT possessive form, "my", before the gerund, when you said, "my being globally featured." I'm not surprised at all, as you are an aspiring writer, but I just wanted to say that I loved it! I'm not a prescriptive grammarian by any means, but it was music to my ears; Something I always like to hear still used.
