This is A souvenir film called Vacation Kingdom at Walt disney World, It's A Super 8mm Sound souvenir film that was sold at the Disneyland parks. The film gives us A tour of the whole Walt Disney World Resort, Florida. Clips of the cabins, hotels, theme parks, ect. Made in the mid 1970s.

I'd love to hear what the EWP soundtrack is like. I assume it's not "Baroque Hoedown" but I hear it's a similar electronic thing...

The sound "waver" because this clip came from A old Super 8mm sound film. A super 8 film is A real movie film that is shown on A projector. When I transferd this clip in 2003 the projector might of been running A little slow. I think that might of been the problem. Also the film is about 20 yrs old.

This Super 8 has a copyright of 1977, if you look at the beginning credits (the roman numerals at the bottom of the screen).

They are now used by international interns from EPCOT. They can be seen if you take the ferry from Downtown Disney to Port Orleans Resort.

This is great! I love how it showed things that no longer exist, like River Country. I especially loved the fact that it showed those elusive treehouses I've always heard about, but never actually seen. Thank You for posting this!

I'm guessing that 'vacation kingdom' was the corporate buzz word of the time...
It's odd to see Disney like it was when I was a little kid.... The Poly was like a magical place for me, long before it cost $600 a night to stay there.....

We stayed at the Port Orleans resort in March and took the river boat to Downtown Disney. On the way, we drove right by the treehouses which now house international exchange students! It would have been cool to stay there, I didn't know they were hotels! Just thought I'd let you know that I have seen them with my own eyes! Ha! Ha!

very cool....Disney's "Golf Resort"? and i loved Discovery Island! its hard to believe how simple it was in its humble beginnings. my daughter is working at Disney's Contemporary Resort on the Disney College Program. she just started yesterday, will be there till January. i cant wait to visit her in July and October! : )
