The USA is a brilliant country - if you're a millionaire.
Imagine to have to pay for university - hospital (people are kicked out if they don't have money to wander in the streets)
But it's up to you. By all means go there (been there 5 times) - great place to visit.
I have been to many countries - but I'd never want to live there.
Maybe you're just spoiled... Travel the world and you will see just how great life is here in comparison.

Free schools, ...( 4 weeks ago by bobbydibobby)
Free schools, college/university (get 700-1000 dollars every month while studying), free hospitals, subsidized daycare etc..
Americans don't believe this when you tell tjhem that.
In countries like the USA you have to pay for this - insurance. + they pay around 35-40&% in taxes.
But hey, it's a free country - nobody is forcing anyone to stay (and you should, try travelling) :)
Yeah, I moan about everything like anyone - but deep down I am HAPPY to be born in Denmark.
You're happy too I bet ;)

I am very happy to live in denmark, and I dont mind paying 40-50 percent in taxes if that secures my free healtcare and education. I belive that feeling safe is one of the main keys to feel happy.

theyre happy to eat caca and even show it in their sex ed to junior high schoolers. happy to okay INCEST UNIONS, happy dads that get to screw their daughters, moms and sons, brothers and sisters. its even historical! READ shakespeares HAMLET.GROSS! NO THANKS.
My German professor ...( 3 weeks ago by shawnfree)
My German professor told me about this and I was very impressed at how well the system works. I've never been one to cling to my material things so much as to mind paying taxes for what the government gives back to society in general. I wish Americans would lean more towards socialism, but wishing this is obviously going to be fruitless in a society dependent on out-of-control capitalism and run by out-of-touch millionaires. That's why my vote goes to Obama, a good man with humble backgrounds.

1: Hamlet is fiction.
2: Incest is very illegal in Denmark and very very much looked down upon.
3: Ofcourse we show sex ed to "junior highschoolers", those are the people who need it, those are the people who are going to be experimenting with it and thus need to be told what to do and what not to do.
Also "happy to okay incest unions"? Where the hell are you getting your information, if you are truly only basing it upon Hamlet you need to go back to school.

I wonder why DEN is so Homo-population, maybe its because of your tax system???? No one wants to start a business or enter your country, because then, well, there goes half the business income into paying for your old people and "35-hour work weeks"
It's much more ...( 1 week ago by Japzapper)
It's much more complex then what you're just saying there. Generally a lot of people living in the US, see the danish tax system as something "communistic", but it's far away from that. In Denmark theres instead of the American flat tax system, several levels of taxes that you have to pay, depending on how much you earn. This is just an insurance to everyone in the danish welfare system.

yeah thats why we have 1.6% unemployed or just enough to fill our national stadium, yes We pay 40-50% in taxes but our wages make up for that as they are much higher than in the US for example, so we get free healthcare, free education (we even get payed to go to school) and social security for free basicly.
