nope, I know for a fact that no known practicing scientist could ever say, let alone substantiate a claim that a 'theory' is a 'mistake'. Because when they say that they completely undermine the whole institution of science. A theory is not just some frivolous thought. A theory is practically a law. Why don't you read John Crewdson's book "Science Fictions: The Dark Legacy of Robert Gallo" and decide for yourself whether Gallo is a crook. Note that Crewdson is a Chicago Tribune science correspondent who closely followed all the scientific misconduct investigations into Gallo. Read it and get back to us.
Isolation? Have you read Gallo's papers? Did you realize that he only claimed to have "isolated" HIV from LESS than half of the people with AIDS he studied? And that's his definition too!

Excuse me sir, but did you actually read that book for yourself? You do know what that book is about don't you? It's about attributing credit to the discoverer of HIV, which causes AIDS, and the controversy surrounding it. It doesn't question the existence of HIV, and the fact that it causes AIDS.
Furthermore, Gallo's research is further supported by countless other papers and efforts of researchers. Obviously you've rescinded all of your scientific principles. You should be ashamed.
