It's not that he wasn't ready, it's that he didn't want to fight. Roy was pissed because he was losing 10-0. BTW, what league are you in? Message me, Tobby778, or nobody should believe you; you're probably some kid who thinks he's tough yet can't throw a punch or compose a proper English (or French) sentence.

maloryian is right. goalie fights are not personal at all, there more for the sake of taking part of what the rest of your team is doing. if both one doesn't want to fight(maybe because he doen't want to get out of the game) then he shouldn't get mugged because of it. Jon Roy had a terrible game and a terrible season. fighting was likely all he could do to earn his fathers respect.

I'm a huge hockey fan but you wonder why idiotic leagues like the NBA get so much ESPN coverage and we get none is this bush league crap. NCAA hockey has no fighting and is great. Why does Junior hockey condone it? And to top it off, Roy, you're a real man. The opposition goalie obviously showed no interest in fighting so nice job winning a one man show you big hero. I hate the courts getting involved, but I hope you enjoy your prison time you coward.
