Thank god for VMware is all I can say, now 90%of all this spaghetti junction CAT5 clutter and whirring CPU fans of yesteryear comms rooms can be confined onto disk clusters.
I could have done with this setup in the late 1990s when I was doing MCSE though, no such luxuries then...

Throw all that crap out and get yourself two beefy servers. Throw VMWare, Zen or Hyper-V on there. You'll save space, energy and cooling.

Why do you need all these craps? Do you have home based business? Like others say, throw them junks and use Vmware.

Man your power bill ... ( 1 month ago by christriot)
Man your power bill has got to be costly :P I know you mentioned that one of the servers wont boot to disc since esx was installed. Firstly, why take esx off? I agree w/ the others, virtualization is the way to go. I myself have maybe twelve servers running a Red Hat HPC cluster, but once I get something comparable to the the Itanium servers, esx will be the way I go.. Just a tip w/ the CD issue. Go into the BIOS and reset it. If that doesn't work, flash the BIOS back and you should be good.

Exactly- sell most of that legacy equipment on craigslist and use the money for a new server w/ the free ESXi hypervisor. It'll save energy and make future upgrades a breeze!
