Don't blame the uniform. Uniform is just a part of military, like guns, tanks, jets. They are all the same, so what? It's the idea, to make everyone alike, which is sick, not the uniform.

Terrific interview. Honest question, and I know I'll sound like an arrogant ahole saying, it but so be it.People used to refer to me as being supposedly hilarious. And whether or not this was a legitimate attribution I could make people laugh hard. Then I got diagnosed with depression and im an unfunny stupid mindnumbed Prozac robot If I took pot, would it make me have at least a remote sense of humor or just make everything seem funny?

i think a lot of our great comedians had depression, carlin talks about many of them that died. Pewopel use drugs for many reasons, some is to make you feel better. even your DOCTOR will give you drugs to make you feel better (but theirs dont work)

Pot would allow your mind to wander which would lead to imaginative and creative thoughts which could lead to sparks of humor leading to conflagrations of comedic ideas.

Does Carlin ever go into depth about "It's important in life to not give a shit. It could help a lot" ? I know he said in another interview "it's the story you get in society - well he had a good mind and he didn't use it - you have a good midn George and you're not using it. And we begin to believe that shit, cause we're blank slates basically inside." I must know what he knows.

Yo Thegunclub123 if your for real, Pot would make your depression worse off, IMHO But Pot can lead to some situations that are fucking hilarious times :D I've been smoking marijuana on/off for a few years now and it's made me alot more hmm, outgoing? lol i just crack some funny ass jokes/sayings/random shit heh even when i'm not stoned. But yeah don't try this at home kids! so stoned. =D

@Rhythmmm123 It's so true. LSD has changed me for the better. I don't do it regularly. Maybe 3-4 times a year. I just see things differently on acid. The great thing is, when the acid wears off I still maintain those views I've discovered. It's not some illusion. LSD is the thinking man's drug.

It's a large puzzle, but I suppose it has something to do with society being the product of generation upon generation of grade A bullshit, and how far from the mark the values it espouses really are from what humans really need. Hence, not giving a shit about the things you are told you should care about and enjoying the ride in your own way.
Psychedelics in ... ( 2 weeks ago by ZarathustrasCrown)
Psychedelics in general are more associated with intellectuals...the Beat generation, the civil rights movement and so on. LSD is probably the best known but I'd be lying if I said I hadn't had some unimaginable experiences with "magic" mushrooms, DMT, and so on. Hell, even Ecstasy in the right situation can be incredible...any time I ever used E I'd take it with one, maybe two CLOSE friends and every time our friendship moved ahead by years in a few hours...most use it at parties though

I'm a writer and an artist, and I can tell you that when I finally started taking anti-depressants to combat my persistent depression, my creativity went out the window. I was like a zombie. I finally stopped taking the prozac and started smoking pot every day... honestly, I'm back to my old self and my depression is for the most part under control. Weed is actually very useful for self-medicating depression.

@meekerbeeker, it's what I use as well. I also use it for my stomach as I had cancer this past year and NEEDED IT for chemo therapy. I would have died without marijuana, by starvation and malnutrition. I was taking welbutrin for depression,, it seemed to work okay, but nothing spectacular. I won't say THC is the answer any more than zoloft or welbutrin. But it has worked for many people and shouldn't be ignored.
