i had dilaudid IV (4mg two seperate shots 2 & 2)for a migraine in the ER more than once, and wow that fucking gets rid of pain.. you nod out! but in pill form id prefer duragesic pain patch anyday! and both are way different then oxy or hydro Ive never had morphine so i cant comment.

ScottINLa18: Your being judgmental is unnecessary. You have no idea what this song is really about, for one. Terra's an artist, she writes about all kinds of things. The world is full of more than just what's in your little religious corner of it. People need someone to speak to their hurt and pain and meet it with love, compassion, and understanding, not judgmental self-righteous prejudice. For you to say someone is "unnecessary" because you don't like their song topic is hateful and rude.

My best friend overdosed on vicodin 5 years ago. I miss her a lot. Terra's song brings tears to my eyes. It makes me see how a person can hide from their own personal pains. The vicodin makes it all go away and everything feels fine. I didn't realize how much pain my best friend was in and how the addiction got a hold of her. Now she is gone and I will miss forever.

My brother overdosed on soma and percocet. He went into respiratory arrest while sleeping next to his wife. She woke up and found him cold and dead. He must have taken a lot. Nobody knows how much but he had buckets of pills at his disposal. It has been surmised that earlier in the day he received a morphine or dilaudid shot from a doctor, who incidentally died a month after my brother.

2 parts: i started on percodan in 76. have never went off , always an available dr., or 'friend'. was head of trust dept. at large, bank, nice, home, rentals, pool, cadillacs, etc. eventually went on these,lost everything, actually traded a 1` yr old caddy for 1,000 norcos. am losing remaining house, junk car, place a mess, don't care. just pills. no friends, except pills. i will never change because i don't want to, i do wnat to? weighed almost 300lbs. now 135. never eat, ever. kills the buzz.

I realize that for some people pain meds can be very destructive to their lives. But when you are in constant pain and you use them correctly -- don't abuse them -- they are a life saver. I am really tired of the fuck ups of the world screwing people who really need these meds out of them.

to b.s.h. i don't know why you're laughing. you're asking us, on ut how not to overdose? not too smart, but neither am i. did you read what i wrote the other day when i was messed up with these? i can't even believe it myself. i'n much older than you,and i think the real problem for both of us is, we don't wan't responsibility, as you say. soma and vic., or percocet, together can be fatal, i have od.l with that combo 3 times, and had to be 'jump started'.either of us REALLY want to die,do we?
