i just finished reading the book...really great stuff. anyway i hope the movie will be good despite having that star wars fag starring in it

Clearly someones never really lived in a decaying urban environment firsthand. This is more like a suburbanite interpretation of what Gibson's world is.

The closest movie example to what Gibson's Sprawl world SHOULD look like technologically is in the first Matrix, when Neo meets Morpheus and is being hooked up to the TRACE equipment. That style of advanced, yet dingy, beaten-looking equipment design. Or Strange Days, which basically ripped off the deck/ trodes concept from Neuromancer.

I agree, personally, its a little cleaner than I imagined, but no two people will have the exact same interpretation, so there is no "correct" vision.
If you don't like his video, create your own. I'll rate it five stars just for the fact you took the time to do it.

Good idea. But instead of drawing a talented, yet bland vision of Neuromancer, I'll just splice pieces of Strange Days, The Matrix, and Blade Runner together. Strange Days being probably the closest thing to Neuromancer ever filmed. Substitute Raph Fiennes character Lenny for Case or any console cowboy, Mace for Molly, ect. And voila!

Awesome renderings. Just wanted to see some twinkling ninja stars:) As for Jolie as Molly, I know this is cliche but I think Moss from the Matrix would do just fine. Jolie is over rated.(stick to tomb raider)
I think Neuromancer minus the Wachowski brothers kung fu would make for a great movie. After all they have the money and people to pull it off the right way if they wanted too.
Not to mention i'm sure everyone who created the environment for the matrix is a huge fan of Neuromancer. Fin

In the book Neuromancer the future sucks for everyone but the rich- everyone is an snti hero with their own reasons for doing things, nearly everyone Case knows betrays him, fe;t compassion for Armitage and his nutso freak out. molly millions was a revelation a fully developed complex character. nothing was ever fullu explained by the author- allowing the reader to think for themselves.

this has 2 much conventionl scifi and the ships were gag-awful. kool freside/T-A stuff n the cyberspace 7 deck was nice...by the way loveupskirts, the future sucked for EVERYONE. the comparison between rich n poor was by earth vs.orbital...see "dog fight" in burning chrome. the girl was rich and STILL lived barely ovr poverty line, compared to "middle class" US late 20th century at least

hmmmm too clean cut and stylized for me at this point. where are the decrepit synthetic polymers littering the streets, the teams of strung out junkies, the patched and grafted people, the grittiness and inhospitableness, the neon intoxication and the feeling that a minute in the Sprawl is enough to make you meet your maker? Reading the book gives a feeling of hot and crowded claustrophobia, mixed with a feeling of imminent demise, these pics show none of that paranoia, but that's just me. haha

So weird, the song is by DJ Krush, and it does sound out of time but when you listen to it as part of the album you kind of don't notice. The concepts look good although I imagine the fashion to have a much more 80's style and everything a lot dirtier. The book is one of my favorites and I was wayy excited when I heard (the rumour) that Chris Cunningham would be directing it, his amazing visual style, would lend it's self awesomely to a film like Neuromancer.
