What I like about this dude is that he brings Opera to the people.
As a professional opera singer hes probably just ok.. not super special. but since he got the publicity he instantly jumped to fame.

yes yes yes sure. but he used to sell mobile phones before becoming famous. Thats the appeal and thats how he kinda brings Opera to the people.
And btw.. being a brit, he wouldnt fix his teeth because in england its normal to have crappy teeth :)

He's a regular guy...like the rest of us-but with one amazing difference-that incredible voice! It's like hitting the lottery...you need the right ticket...and once you have it...it doesn't matter what you did before. I appreciate his genuine humility. I'm no opera aficianado...but I enjoy his music-I feel like this guy has really made his dream come true-what he expressed on his original audition at Britains Got Talent.

While I do think he can sing, I do not think he is suited for anything more than lesser concerts. While I am no expert in the matter, his ending was very very brief whereas Pavorotti and Bocelli can hold it for 15+ seconds. He is okay, he's just not great as many others are.

No they don't hold the ending longer, time them, especially Bocelli.Pavarotti was opera training before Paul was born, Paul is just starting out, and his voice in concert in London amazing. On Dutch Talent Show he sang recently, and already moved up, I wonder what in one years time he will be like. Pauls voice has a softness while reaching the notes, and that is what makes him more listenable than alot of opera singers.

this is paul potts. i believe the show is called britain's got talent. i guess he was the most talented in his group. but i think it's unfair to compare him to pavarotti and bocelli. i don't even think it's fair to put paul in the same sentence as those two. paul has talent. period.
