Patti La Belle is one of the finest singers in the world. This sixty something woman has no peer, young or old. She can take a song and her voice can soar into the stratosphere. There is no pretense with Patti. She is a soul singer. Sometimes she can hit a note and leave you speechless. If you listen to her early records with the Bluebelles, it is obvious that she has become a greater vocalist. Patti is just hitting her stride. Little Richard,Billy Preston,Mavis Staples,&Al Green were in awe.

Lord have mercy!!! Patti certainly has a God given gift!!! Anytime you can carry a MASS choir the way she does, you KNOW there's an annointed power working! No matter how many times I see this performance, it still brings me to a spiritual high in praising God!!!! This is a keeper! Thank you for posting it!

After 23 years, this performance still has the power to knock me to my knees and bring tears to my eyes. I literally get chills every time I view this.
