I recommand you to watch Kikujiro, it is an great movie with great actors. The director himself plays Kikujiro. Joe Hisaishi always makes perfect music for both Takeshi`s and Miyazaki movies. Takeshi himself said that in an interview.

I love Kikujiro the movie. Its sad but very nice. About a child trying to find his mother, When this guy tries to help him.I dont know the guy bcuz I only got to the part when he was asking the kid to get the numbers for the bets. I love this song my cousin can play it.
