I figured it out the cap must slide on the pen and the pen must go behind his hand and arm as he pretends to push it into the case. The end of the cap of the pen must somehow push out a false end at the other side of the container.

that is an extremely cheap trick you dont even have to know anything about magis to get this on the first watch.. try doing it with a regular pen right after the pink pen im sure you bought because you like pink "hint hint"
