From what I understand, good quality Japanese swords from Japan are around at least $3000 USDs(not sure what that is yen-wise). You also gotta make sure it's not just ceremonial. The real deal's are made with better quality steel.

more then 3000usd a real sword by a master is gonna cost more then most houses and a ceremonial sword is gonna be a real sword that is where the ceremonial part comes to play the soul of the sword master pulses through that blade not. BIG difference between decorative and ceremonial.
