The song was good up to when she stops singing words and starts the crappy filler noises that is so typical of j-pop. it's a shame since I really was enjoying it before.

I enjoyed the song from start to end: "crappy filler noises" — ever heard of "Scat"? No? Look for "Scat singing" in Wikipedia. Need Examples? Look for "Ella Fitzgerald", "Sarah Vaughan" in iTunes or Google. I'm not familiar with JPop, but I am familiar with Jazz, I hear a lot of in this song — from the Benson-esque guitar solo to the Swing-powered Scat ju st before the songs' ending...
To me this was a fine combination of lots of styles, pleasurable, yet ambitious.
