Aha, good question! No, the score is by Carl Davis. He is a conductor with the London Philharmonic Orchestra and regularly conducts the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra. He has written music for over 100 television programs but is best known for creating music to accompany films that were originally silent.

I would also add that he composed the music for the TV series 'The World at War' to great effect. Although I don't rank him as a conductor, he's excellent when it comes to film scores.
