in the studio they could have had 340000 guitars if they wanted to and 78888 mandolins. live a band tries to replicate what they did in the studio to the best of their ability. as far as i know there were 2 mandolins and an acoustic guitar on the recording.

When I saw Page Plant in 95 they had a British Dude named Nigel play this on a Hurdy Gurdy with another guy on Mandolin and it was amazing. JUST 2 GUYS making almost all of it, Page too :) SPEAKING OF AMAZING, NEOGENO you get 5 stars from me. AWESOME!!!
