This is a 'Love & Peace' romantic comedy, not a political documentary. It is to be seen by the peoples of all nations and religions. For the sake of bijistan, let's plse be wise not to alienate neighbors. Let's be cool, not prevent people who most need to see this 'tolerance & cultural diversity' film by posting narrow nationalistic slogans. Hope you understand. Film is in cinema distribution. DVD sales in USA later in 2008 & in Europe & rest of the world from 2009. Hollywood actress Shiva Rose is Persian American (Her mother is Irish American, not Irish from Ireland.) Shiva Rose's dad is the grand showman/entertainer of Iranian TV, Parviz Gharib Afshar. Shiva plays Kurdish Layla. She dentifies with & is proud of her Iranian and Middle Eastern cultures.

Yes. However, at a higher level, Layla represents the graceful and feminine but oppressed women of the Middle East and parts of Asia. In the ending credits on screen it sasy: "For the LAYLAs of the World." Indeed the vast majority, especially women, of the Middle East, including Iranians, Arabs, Kurds, Palestinians, Jews, Turks, Armenians, Greeks...all appreciate and love the many layers of this film, including women's equal rights.
