Well, that wouldn't happen. One way, if you are really suspicious, is to take the hard drive out, go to your nearest like computer store and ask them to check out the gig. 60gb has better Backwards compatibilty with ps2 games becuase it has the ps2 emotion enigne, or its cpu, the 80gb uses software emulation of the ps2's cpu to play ps2 games. THE 80gb ONE I WAS TALKING ABOUT REFERS TO IT HAVING 4 USB PORTS, FLASH CARD READERS, AND IT EITHER CAME WITH MOTOR STORM OR MGS4. sorry i had emphazize it cause theres a 80gb that doesnt play ps2 games
