Several things to point out. 1. I understand this is a tutorial, but on some compilers "using namespace std;" will not compile since this is a more recent addition. 2. You do not need to put 'd' in front of a double. 3. You do not need to set the variable to 0.0 you can just leave it like that. 4. "system("pause");" is bad style and is Windows only. Use "std::cin.get();" and it will just wait for the user to hit an enter.

it says it cannot find the path specified...im presuming thats where the file is stored, ive tried everything though. It isnt the system pause ive already got that in, ive got no idea?

Early in the video you say the "d" has to exist at the beginning of the variable name. Are you sure about that? It may be a naming convention, but I do not believe it is required.
