I don't know either - I think it's bullshit myself - but I believe that comment was the straw that broke this Byrd's back; he was fired shortly after while in the midst of recording "The Notorious Byrd Brothers" album in 67-68.

All the actual evidence suggests it was Oswald - sorry, but it's true. Yes, the US Government / CIA have done and still do some terrible things. But killing JFK doesn't seem to have been one of them, and if you read some serious research on the subject (i.e. not internet conspiracy sites or dubious paperbacks) you will probably have to accept it, just like I did.
