They acknowledged that they were totally wrong. That was the time when their songs were hitting # 1 at US chart. Their contemporaries were the BEACH BOYS as I have read. When they were scheduled to visit USA, the Beach boys had a fear that the BEATLES might overshadow their popularity here in USA, it was true.They were the living legends and a lot of their songs hit # 1 at US chart. Just watch Back in USA 2002 of Paul..a lot of Americans were in tears and they were really enjoying Paul's tour.
