It will apparently spped loads up by ~30%, but for the load times to be this long, Sonic must have some pretty sloppy code, so it will probably take just as long...

How could a Sonic game be this terrible?.... :( Seriously Sega, just make a decent 2D Sonic game. Take the structure of the sublime Sonic & Knuckles and make it about 30x longer, loads of secret stuff to find and a few hidden levels and we'll be damn happy.

Menko, it's long by console standards. Finding Nemo for the Gamecube had much longer load times than this, but they were much less frequent.
