low level owl, vol. 1 definitely didn't disappoint me! i like it quite a bit. i also checked out mare vitalis, which is also good. i'll stay away from peregrine! haha.

Peregrine is not as bad as some people say. With Ceremony, Silas Knife, Sunlit and Ascending, Song 3 or February the record has some great songs to offer. Its just different from their older stuff. If you like LLO and Mare Vitalis then dont forget to give Two Conversations a listen too. Its also not as bad as some people say and still has the "old" AC touch.

What are you talking about? Peregrine is fantastic. Incredible drumming, and really clever song-writing. You guys need to give it another chance. Phenomenal album, one of their best.

I dont like to disturb your memories, but this song was released in 2001...the 90s connection fits with the band though, as End of the ring wars and Mare Vitalis were released 98/99.

There are like 1.000.000 Bands in the "Indie/Emo/Post-Rock" genre, but if you are asking for Bands that sound similar to The Appleseed Cast on Low Level Owl its pretty hard to name any...The 2007 debut Album "Pneuma" by a band called Moving Mountains has been compared to the Low Level Owls in many reviews. Thats like the only record that comes to my mind right now.

I agree, great underated album. It needs to be repeatedly listened to fully appreciate it. Solid druming and atmosphere that shows a lot of progression. In my opinion, way better than two conversations. Can't wait for Sagarmatha..cheers.
