The sea plays a crucial role in our prosperity and quality of life. To take full advantage of its potential, the sea has to be considered as an inseparable whole. The stakes are greater economic growth, the creation of jobs and protection of the environment. For that reason, the European Commission is launching a consultation on an integrated maritime policy capable of ensuring sustainable development.

How did they get the birds to actually nest on the turbines instead of being hit by the blades?

This would be better as two films: 1. Windturbines off the Thames estuary 2. The Rotterdam port area extension The two seem unrelated to me. Also, though informative, the film makes no case that the latter project could not happen without the EU. Why couldn't the city authorities take the coordinating role described, for instance?
