Oh my God, don't you undertsand? It IS a custom map, but it contains some parts that AREN'T original DotA storyline parts. Instead they took a lot of official Warcraft lore and turned it into DotA. Now I don't have anything against DotA it's the best and the most popular w3 custom scenario but I really can't stand the stealing of the lore.

Nothing is stolen. I used voiceovers from the heroes which exist in dota. If you're referring to the storyline at the start with purist saying 'I saw a vision of the lich king' it's because he's a priest.

Some things, yes, but they didn't take the whole WC3 story and just change it, it still follows the basic premise, which is what they were going for. The good vs the evil. Also, the game is about PvP. When I'm about to get a double kill the lore is the LAST thing in my mind.
