-tau empire, the eretherial caste, the truth behind the warp storm that saved them from the bloodthirsty imperium of man in their early years, etc. 3. The Tau will fight more battles with the eldar, and eventually crack the webway technology on thier own. At which point one of the above will happen. And speaking of the webway, Commoraugh (sp?) will finally fall under the might of the Tau (and craftworld eldar if they're still alive)

First off, the Eldar, the Dark Eldar, the Necrons are more advanced than the Tau.
The warp storm was a freak incident. It's possible that it was manipulated by someone or something. But it was the Greater Good that allowed the Tau to reach the level they have reached. During the early days of the Tau, the tribes of the Tau fighting long bloody wars with each other. They were actually on the verge of wiping each other out.

Then the future Etherals appeared and preached of the Greater Good. All the Tau tribes united together under the Greater Good and the Tau Empire was born.
And because the Tau were completely united, they didn't waste time, energy and lives fighting wars with each other anymore. So all their time and energy became focused on improving their technology and making their lives better. It is their unity that is the Tau's greatest weapon.

Theres a hive fleet closing on the core septs of the tau empire and the Imperium had only ended the Damocles Gulf Crusade because they had more serious problems to atttend(namely the last Black Crusade of Abaddon and the tyranid hive fleets). Without these the tau empire would be wiped out utterly, technology isnt counts that much on the long run with the Imperiums willingness and ability to sacrifice millions of guardsmen to get a city and the usage of th Exterminatus would brought down the tau

The Tau are not doomed. And they are more than just advanced technology. They are the embodiment of the Greater Good and the only real hope in the galaxy. The Greater Good is where their true strength lies. One day, they will unite the other Order races together against the against the forces of Destruction. It is their destiny. Even the greatest of Eldar Farseers believes that the Tau will one day surpass the greatness of the Eldar before the Fall. They are the future of the galaxy.

Commander Farsight said that? I think you got your character messed up. Because Games Workshop purposely chose to keep Farsight's aligence unknown so the players could came up with their own ideas and conversions of Farsight's model. In fact, the Tau page on the GW website has several conversions of Farsight under different aligences. Including one where he is still fighting for the Tau and the Greater Good, just in his own way. So Farsight is like the two missing Primarchs, unknown.

Maybe. But even some Ethereals believe that he may be fighting for the Greater Good in his own way. So he may not be a rebel but rather a kin to a ronnin. A masterless warrior fighting for the good of his people. We just don't know.

The Tau aren't communists. I'm sick of people calling them communists. They have a more utilitarianist caste society than a communist society. All Tau work together in harmony for their Empire. Each caste fulfills it's role in their society and none of them look down on other castes or anything like that. And those races that join the Tau are allowed to keep their beliefs and even worship their gods, so long as it isn't evil, like chaos worship.

First off, in the last GW campaign, they tied for sixth. I'm pretty sure they're not going anywere. Secondly, the non-Tau races are not slaves, they're equals. In fact, humans that join the Tau find themselves better off than they were in the Imperium. They recieve an education, access to the Tau's superior technology, they don't live in fear of everything, and they even get to worship the God-Emperor. All that is required of them, is loyality to the Greater Good. How is that slavery?

They are slaves, the Vespid strainleaders helmets are used to mind control them. Even the normal tau are slaves to ethereals. There is a little too much mystery about the ethereals too. I like the tau as faction just I dislike that a lot of people see them as the good guys and saviors of the universe despite they arent intended to be that. They meant to be idealistic, naive, and alien. I wonder what would the Emperor do if he would meet the tau, he doesnt really hurt eldar too.

Vespid helmets are so they can communicate and coordinate with the Tau and Kroot on the battlefield as the Vespid can not speak a language that either race can understand. And the normal Tau aren't slaves to the Ethereals. All the Tau have their own roles and work together to support their Empire. As to why people tend to view the Tau as potential future saviors, think about it. Eldar selfishly maniplulate and deceive while humans hate all non-humans and those that don't believe in the Emperor.

Tau society is covered slavery, you know, Xenology (a book that describes various WH40K Alien races, including the Tau), says and shows that the Tau Ethereals, have a special organ that produces pheromones, suspected to be used as control means by the Ethereals. Tau is just that, a slave society controlled by some evolved members of the Tau species. The same than the Imperium, but covered. At least the Imperium takes pride on that most powerful human rules.
