I don't think the chorus is lame. I really love the song, true they do have better songs but I still love this. It has great lyrics and Bono sings it with great conviction. Not all their songs have to be the same, I really like the bridges to this song personally, but One, Sometimes you can't make it on your own and Stuck in a moment to name just three are rated higher than this in my faves list. But this is still a classy song.
