I really like both those albums, but feel that The Bends has more songs you can appreciate on their own merits without listening to the entire album, whilst if I have more time I'd tend to put on OK Computer instead, as the flow through the tracks from start to finish is first class.

yeah, the button is pretty cool. If I had unlimited money i'd probably have a bunch of electronics built in to a load of guitars.
But still, the improvised kill thing does work pretty well, I'm not sure he uses both pickups all the time, and of course when you're using one you can have the other one silent to use as a kill as long as you don't mind twiddling on the fly.

Or you can improvise something with a footswitch, I had a marshall avt for a few years with a 4-channel footswitch, you never need that many channels so i had one set up as a kill there too

From what I hear, it really isnt hard/expensive to mod the electronics and put in a killswitch button. Buts that just what I hear, I've never really looked it up. Anyways I just prefer a nice little button to tap repeatedly since whenever I try the pickup selector thing, it gets really annoying flicking the selector back and forth like a madman.

well, on a tele, it probably wouldn't be too difficult. i modded a strat a few years ago, there's plenty of space in the cavity below the scratchplate for a few bits of maplin coolness, it's just fifteen quid, a drill, a soldering iron and half an afternoon - i'd imagine a tele is similar. Thing is i mostly play gibbos in general and a 335 in particular, and i have a bit of a horror of trying to take one of those apart, and i can't help thinking it'd be a bastard of a job even if i did
